Our core business. Charnwood manufactures UKCA-marked structural steelwork to BS EN 1090-1 Execution Class 2 - the standard required for the majority of UK commercial, industrial and residential construction. Every job is supported by full material traceability, documented weld procedures and a Declaration of Performance on request.
Beyond structural steel, our shop handles bespoke manufacturing for OEMs, engineers and end clients. CAD-led design, reverse engineering from samples or sketches, MIG & TIG welding to coded standards, and assembly in mild steel, stainless and aluminium. From a one-off prototype to a weekly production schedule.
Every fabricated assembly is shot blasted, chemically pre-treated and degreased before it sees the coating booth. Doing it under the same roof keeps tolerances tight, lead times short and accountability clear.
Our coating capability exists primarily to finish our own fabrications, but we also coat customer-supplied parts. Polyester, epoxy and architectural-grade powders applied in a controlled environment, with any RAL, BS or Pantone reference matched.
